② Royal Tomb of King Muryeong [UNESCO World Heritage]

Royal tomb of King Muryeong is a tomb for 25th king of Baekje, King Muryeong and the Queen and it was found by accident while doing drainage construction. It is the only royal tomb that shows the identification of buried person and it presents glamorous culture of Baekje through sophisticated beauty and high standard handcraft skill 1500 years ago.
③ Gongsanseong Fortress [UNESCO World Heritage]

Gongsanseong Fortress (Historical Site No. 12) is an iconic fortress of the Baekje Kingdom, and it served as a royal castle during the Ungjin Baekje Period (475-538AD). It is a fortress built with earth along the valleys and mountain ridges at an elevation of 110m, where the Geumgang River flows.

Baekje Cultural Land, built over a period of 17 years, is nestled in Gyuam-myeon, Buyeo-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, providing a home to Baekje’s Cultural Heritages. The site is spread out over 3,276,000 square meters, filled with the trace of Baekje Culture.
⑥ Mt. Buso [UNESCO World Heritage]

Some of the most famous sites on the mountain include Sajaru Pavilion, Baekhwajeong, Sajaru, Samchungsa Temple, Seoboksaji, Yeongillu Pavilion, Goransa Temple, Nakhwaam Rock, and Gunchangji. The mountain is known for its beauty and history.

Gungnamji Lake is where the legend of Princess Seonhwa of Silla and King Mu takes place. Gungnamji with the pavilion in the middle was the first garden to express the Taoist ideology.

Bukchon’s hanok were renovated with new materials, such as by attaching a glass door to the daecheong (wood-floored hall) and extending the roof eaves with galvanized iron sheets. Without losing their typical characteristics, the hanok evolved into a new type of urban housing so as to adapt to the modern urban structure.

Myeongdong Street may be the epitome of downtown Seoul now, but during the Joseon Dynasty it was a residential neighborhood. Having become a business district since the Japanese Colonial Period, it is now the center of shopping where culture and art and all kinds of brands are concentrated, and there are things to see and things to eat galore making it one of Korea’s most prominent tourist attractions.

Panmunjom is the place where the Armistice Agreement was concluded on 27 July 1953. It is located 50 km north of Seoul. A place name is Neolmun-ri. The place became famous world widely as the South-North Conference or the Military Armistice Council Conference was held. This is a sad place where country was divided and war broke out between the same nations.

* Submitted documents are found to have false information or grave defects.
* Tours can’t be conducted due to internal reasons of the UNC
(National holidays, other holidays, UNC military training, etc)

Located in Daecheonghoban, Cheongnamdae has been a popular tourist attraction covered with the traces of modern history since 2003, when it was opened to the general public. For the past 20 years, it served as a place where five successive Presidents could rest or make political plans in a natural environment. History still breathes here in Korea’s only presidential villa.
③ Munui Cultural Properties

In 1980, the construction of Daecheong Dam led to making a plan to build Munui Cultural Properties Site in 1992. The complex was built on land of about 109,000 ㎡. The site is used as a history education venue as it contains traditional Korean pub restaurants, noblemen’s houses, commoners’ houses, a smithy, and an inn. The site is gaining popularity along with the recent public opening of Cheongnamdae.

Gyejoksan Hwangtogil Trail is the only place in the world to experience such a healthy feeling from nature, and you cannot experience this anywhere else in Korea. It is a must-see place for travelers, along with Mt. Gyejoksan and Daecheong dam, when they visit Daejeon. While walking or running 14 km of the exciting Hawntogil Trail located at an altitude of 200 m to 300 m, you can find health in body and mind.
③ Daejeon Traditional Markets

This market is close to the Daejeon Station so it is convenient for transportation. It has been a representative market of Daejeon for a long time. It was established about 1953 and in 1980s. It formed the central business district of three regions of Korea, including the Chungcheong, Jeolla and Gyeongsang areas.
④ Uineungjeongi Cultural Street

From the 1960s to 1980s, this was a mecca of administration, businesses, and traditional culture in the central region of South Korea. Now it is rising again as a street of Art & Culture. There are over 150 active businesses related to art and culture including art galleries, concert halls, small theaters, exhibition, performance facilities, art supply stores, ateliers, pottery studios stores.
